Everything demonstrated on this entire website is for purely for educational purposes only. This cannot be stressed enough.
It is your responsibility for how you use this information. BUT, please know - and understand - if you are worried at all, but still want to continue out of curiosity:Absolutely nothing will happen to your character, your account, or your computer, by following along with this tutorial, or using Cheat Engine in general. Every step of the way, careful instructions and screenshots are provided to help you anticipate what will happen next, and what to expect.
This process will allow you to alter the way you appear inside of The Nexus to you, and you alone. This is why the term Residual Self Image is used, rather than DSI (Digital Self Image) - which would be how others see you.
Your DSI will remain completely unchanged. In fact, everything you have access to with these methods is purely client-side - meaning only you are able to see any changes you make.
Cheat Engine is a powerful tool which allows you to cheat in many games - but not Nexus. It simply allows you to unlock the full graphical potential of most aspects of your playable character.
Still interested? Then follow the tutorial below to get started.
Preparation
First, you will need to acquire Cheat Engine. It is a reputable open source application. It allows us to view, and alter, the code of The Nexus.
In short... it works similarly to how the red pill is described: "it disrupts your input/output carrier signals so we can pinpoint your location."
(Which means Koguryo... is going bye bye.)
Getting Started
Log into The Nexus as you normally would. A freshly created character works fine. You'll just need a Wooden saber to begin.
Start up Cheat Engine (it will need administrative access to access The Nexus' memory)
Once both are running, you may begin.
Step-by-Step Process
Inside of Nexus, wield a "Wooden saber".
Inside of Cheat Engine, look for this icon at the top left: (and click it).
A window will appear with a list of processes running on your machine. Type NEXUS to filter the list. Then... click open.
65536 is the number of values one can represent with 16 binary digits (or bits). In many computer systems 216 is the number of values an "unsigned short integer" can attain. Thus, the range of available values is 0 to 65535.
This should filter out the list of discovered addresses down to only a handful, potentially connected to your "Weapon" code.
Find the code which ends in 1A6... right-click on it, and select "Copy selected addresses".
(the next step will appear after you enter the found address in the box above)Click the code below to copy it to your clipboard. Then, inside of Cheat Engine, click the bottom-most section and paste.

Morph Number (0-255)

Byte
The address for this is technically the same as "face".
Must be morphed in-game for this to work. How this works:
The Morph Number (this) and the Morph Page (next) work together. This number can only go from (0-255). Once Morph Page is changed to 129, you'll be able to access the next "page" of morphs.
For example... using the spell "Feral" (obtained at lvl 10 via Rogue path), you can transform into a Puppy, Mongrel, Cat, Piglet, or Pig. When morphing into a Mongrel, the morph number will be 103, and morph page will be 128 (page 1)... whereas morphing into a Cat changes the morph number to 195, and morph page to 129 - this is because the ID for Cat is 451 (451 - 256 = 195). So if you know the ID of the morph you would like to appear as, just do the math!
Morph Page (starts at 128)

Start with 128, and adjust to 129 for each "page". See above examples for more info.
Additional Tips & Tricks
Locking in your RSI
Once you have adjusted your RSI, you'll be tempted to wander the world, and explore... hoping your appearance will stay in tact. You'll quickly notice it will reset when changing maps (entering/exiting areas, like Kugnae, to Buya, or from one inn to another).
There is a fix for this - and it's a simple one. Simply check "Active" on the line-item inside of Cheat Engine to "freeze" the current value, and lock it in place. The shortcut for this is spacebar, when the line is selected.
Toggling through graphics
You may quickly find it is tedious to change the value of each line item, while enjoying its graphical output in The Nexus
There is also a fix for this - it just requires slight configuring.
You may want to create some epic gifs like the ones you've seen in this tutorial. If so, just download LICEcap. It's an amazing app which is just a transparent window that you put over the area you wish to record and it creates a gif!
